Bonney Hettinger
Manager - Enterprise Learning
Bonney Hettinger is a leader in the field of Learning and Development. She has transformed the face of learning in her current role at Corning, Inc through the introduction of leading technologies and learning strategies. Her efforts have showcased the value of learning for meeting global business needs. Bonney joined Corning in 2001 in the Workforce Development and Learning Center of Excellence as the Manager of eLearning. In 2003 she was named Manager – Enterprise Learning with global responsibility for learning infrastructure, curriculum, policies, and processes. Her organization supports Corning’s 25,000+ employees with a core staff of 4!
Prior to joining Corning, Bonney developed expertise in talent development through several positions in the learning and development field. From 1998 to 2001 she was Vice President of Strategic Management Group, responsible for the design and development of business simulations and workforce development applications. From 1987 – 1998 Bonney served in various capacities for Conceptual Systems. Her final position was as Vice President for Design and Development of HR Technologies. From 1983 – 1987 Bonney served as an Associate Director for the Center for Instructional Development and Evaluation at the University of Maryland, University College where she designed and managed the development of online courseware delivered via the PLATO system.
