Chief Learning Officer

Michael is the Chief Learning Officer of Sunrise Community, Inc. Sunrise is a not-for-profit organization providing assistance and support for people with disabilities in a five state region. Michael is a 25 year veteran of Sunrise and his role has always been to initiate and implement. He has never had a predecessor in his ten leadership roles which include managing operations and serving in various corporate staff positions. This broad spectrum of knowledge and experience has provided him with the expertise to lead enterprise learning for Sunrise. Michael was chosen to initiate Sunrise University with the launch of the University in 2006. The University has focused on two of the organization’s strategic goals of leadership development and retention and career opportunities for direct support staff. Prior to joining Sunrise, Michael was the Project Coordinator for a nationally certified educational program through the Bay District (Florida) School System and an Account Executive with the former Southern Bell.
