Alan Todd, Chairman

Alan Todd is Chairman of the Board for Corporate University Xchange, the world's leading corporate university research and advisory company. While serving as a thought leader in the learning industry, Alan founded and served as CEO for two successful global learning companies. Over the past 20 years, he has won many learning industry awards and has spoken at conferences around the world on workforce development strategies.

Prior to joining CorpU, Alan was Chairman and CEO of KnowledgePlanet, a company he founded that helped launch the eLearning revolution. He led the company through mergers and acquisitions, expanded the user-base to 150 countries, and raised nearly $100 million in private equity.

Alan has served on the Board of Trustees and is a Rabinowitz Fellow at Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA. He has also served as an advisor or trustee for Harrisburg University of Science and Technology, Pennsylvania State University Information Science and Technology, and Messiah College Business Advisory. Alan holds a master's degree from The Wharton School and The Graduate School of Education from the University Of Pennsylvania, and has a bachelor's degree from Lock Haven University.

Sue Todd, President & CEO

Sue Todd is President and CEO of Corporate University Xchange. She works as an advisor to Global 2000 organizations on all aspects of designing learning strategies, monitoring the impact of learning and development on business performance, and implementing enterprise-wide learning technology infrastructures. Sue also administers the development of CorpU research.

Sue has more than 20 years of experience consulting with corporate universities and learning and development groups on performance management, eLearning, learning content, program measurement and other HR and training-related topics. She has taken the lead on corporate university design projects with companies like Air Products, M&M Mars, Rio Tinto and others, and has presented at ASTD and Training events and other industry conferences.

Prior to joining CorpU, Sue was V.P. of Product Management for KnowledgePlanet, and directed the development of the first business-to-business eLearning marketplace. She also drove the development of technology-based performance management solutions and helped both media and industry analysts shape the LMS and eLearning industries.

Sue received her BA in English with a minor in Business from Shippensburg University. She has done her graduate work at Temple University.

Mark Allen, Chief Consultant & Strategist

Mark Allen is the Chief Consultant and Strategist for Corporate University Xchange. He offers insight on corporate university best practices, and has been actively engaged in designing, developing, and managing corporate universities for over 20 years.

Mark has assisted a wide-range of Global 2000 organizations in the design and development of corporate universities, and has led several workshops focusing on organizational practices of leadership development. He was CorpU’s President and CEO from 2001 to 2004, and the Vice President of Research and Consulting.

Prior to joining CorpU, Mark founded Gensym Corporation’s worldwide educational services organization, and has a strong background in learning technology with 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur in the software industry.

James Seaton, Senior Consultant

James Seaton is a Senior Consultant for Corporate University Xchange. He has over 30 year’s of experience in the design and implementation of enterprise-wide organizational development initiatives, as well as the design and development of leadership, sales, sales management and human resources training interventions.

Prior to joining CorpU, James served as Vice President of Program Development for Think Training, Inc. He led consultant teams who were responsible for mission critical learning and change management initiatives at Fortune 500 clients.

James also served as Vice President of Touchstone Communications Associates, Inc. (TCA), where he specialized in the design of video and other interactive media-based staff development programs. He also served as Director and co-founder of Communications Development Service (CDS), where he designed and developed large-scale training programs covering a wide range of human resource, project management and interpersonal problem-solving issues for clients such as Johnson & Johnson, the General Accounting Office and the U.S. Navy

James received his bachelor's degree from Yale University, and has completed course work towards a doctorate in psychology at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

Steve Wheeler, Senior Consultant, Project Manager

Steve Wheeler is a Senior Consultant and Project Manager for Corporate University Xchange. His areas of expertise include developing and executing corporate university strategies, organizational development/change management, executive management continuity/succession planning, executive leadership/coaching, and curriculum development. Steve has over 25 years experience working with large global organizations, helping them meet business goals and execute strategies through their people.

Prior to joining Corporate University Xchange, Steve was Director of Learning and Organizational Development for Sutter Health, a 40,000 employee Northern California healthcare organization. He also served as Executive Vice-President of Omega Performance Corporation, an international learning and development consulting organization focused on improving the performance of financial service organizations like Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo and Citibank.

Steve received his B.S. from the University of Wyoming and his MBA from Golden Gate University, San Francisco.

Marcia Dresner, Senior Research Analyst

Marcia Dresner is a Senior Research Analyst for Corporate University Xchange. She conducts research and analysis of learning and development issues, and provides advisory services to a range of Fortune 500 companies based on that research. Marcia has edited and written numerous research reports, as well as the CorpU Journal and CorpU Annual Benchmarking reports, and manages the CorpU Analyst Inquiry process.

Prior to joining CorpU, Marcia was service director for the Human Capital Strategies Service at Syndicated Research Group and provided research for high-level human resource executives. She was also a key player in the creation of a computer software firm that developed utility software for early portable computers and desktop systems.

Marcia was the Senior Managing Editor of the American Chemical Society’s CHEMTECH magazine. She managed all aspects of communication on development of R&D, management, science, marketing, and technology.

Marcia earned a bachelor’s degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Cindy Thatcher, Research Analyst

Cindy Thatcher is a Research Analyst for Corporate University Xchange. Her responsibilities include research and analysis on current topics that are deemed challenging to the learning and development industry. Her areas of expertise include employee recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training.

Prior to joining CorpU, Cindy worked as a Training Manger for McKonly & Asbury, LLP where she developed and oversaw the Training and Career Development program. She has built programs to support the firm’s strengths-based culture and has implemented new-hire orientation, external, and sales training programs, and a compliance monitoring system.

Cindy also served as a Staff Recruitment Coordinator for the Fredricksen Library in Camp Hill, and as a General Store Manager for Gap Stores. She is MBTI certified and a member of ASTD and ISPI.

Cindy earned a B.S. from Marywood University, and is currently working towards a master’s degree in Training & Development from Capella University.
