The Corporate University Xchange Awards for Excellence and Innovation in Corporate Learning are the oldest and most prestigious awards in the field of corporate learning. Currently in its 9th year, the program has recognized companies like Farmers Insurance, Mars, Caterpillar, Staples, and Boeing for innovative ideas in learning that make a strategic difference. The competition this year was especially fierce. The number of participating companies increased 35% from the previous year, with almost 20% of applicants based outside of the United States. 9th Annual CorpU Awards Gala

As part of the partnership between CorpU, Training 2008, Fortune Magazine Custom Publishing, and the Wharton School and the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania, the 9th Annual Awards Gala is scheduled to take place Tuesday evening, February 5, 2008, during the Training 2008 meeting in Atlanta, Georgia.

The Gala features the presentations of the Excellence, Best Practice and Exemplary Practice awards to the category finalists. Attendees include Peter Cappelli, George W. Taylor Professor of Management and Director, Center for Human Resources, at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania; JetBlue CEO Mike Barger; and Doug Lynch, Vice Dean, Graduate School of Education, University of Pennsylvania.

Select awards winners will be presenting in Best Practice sessions throughout the 3-day conference. Plan to attend the CorpU and the Wharton School and Graduate School of Education of the University of Pennsylvania Learning Leaders Conference to hear from industry thought leaders including Becton Dickinson University Senior Business Partner Edward Franzone, Ed Betof, Senior Fellow/Academic Director, Executive Program in Workplace Learning Leadership at the Wharton School and Graduate School of Education, University of Pennsylvania.
