The People Factor Video Documentary Series

CorpU presented three new video documentaries as part of CorpU's video documentary series The People Factor. The CorpU TV video crew was also on site, interviewing attendees and thought leaders for inclusion in documentaries and on the CorpU TV website.

UBS
With strong senior level support, UBS has a core focus on improving the quality and consistency of its processes across 46 countries and 78,000 employees. The company focuses on rewarding actions and behaviors that will lead to business performance improvement, and employees are rated on both their contributions and their competencies. This strategy creates a culture and value set leading to an ongoing, meaningful dialog between employees and their managers.

JetBlue

By implementing a transparent, clear and directed approach to establishing a culture focused on developing individuals, JetBlue grew rapidly into an industry power at a time when most of its competitors were going bankrupt.  By leading every employee orientation, the senior management team created an open communication structure and small company feel.  As a result, over 90% of employees can name the five cultural traits of safety, caring, fun, integrity and passion, which demonstrates the level of engagement and unity to the company mission and goals. Becton, Dickinson and Company

In 1999 this 100 year old company refocused its goals to emphasize leadership and human capital development.  Senior leadership took direct responsibility and dedicated time to teach all classes.  In addition to the gains from educating employees, the leaders acting as teachers gained great insight by networking throughout the company and improving their individual leadership skills.
