Aon Hewitt: Evolving & Improving Leadership Development after a Merger
Aon Hewitt is among the world’s top global human capital and management consulting firms, providing a complete array of consulting, outsourcing and insurance brokerage services. Their professionals possess extensive knowledge and experience in a variety of fields and help companies of all sizes attract and retain top talent. The company is the product of a merger between Aon and Hewitt Associates during the Fall of 2010. During and after such a significant merger, processes and programs must be analyzed to ensure that they still meet the unique needs of the newly combined workforces, and leadership development efforts are no exception.
In May of 2011, Aon Hewitt won an Exemplary Practice award from Corporate University Xchange for a leadership development program that had been designed and developed (pre-merger) for managers at Hewitt Associates. Since the merger, the program has been closely reviewed and revised to ensure that it aligns with the needs of both the legacy Hewitt and Aon managers. The result is a leadership development program that contains the core elements of the original Hewitt program as well as the best of the Aon programs, and now serves leadership development needs for all Aon businesses globally. In essence, the program is bigger and better than it was before.
At this webinar, you will learn about the design of the new and improved Aon Hewitt leadership development program. A few of the elements you will hear about are:
- The partnership with Harvard on content and delivery
- The heavy focus on experiential learning
- The alignment with the new Aon leadership model
- How the program supports the company’s global workforce
In addition, you will also understand the process that the learning organization followed to make sure its leadership development programming remained relevant in a new, post-merger environment.
