Presenters:

Janice Ganann:

Janice is the Senior Director of Executive Talent with Banner Health in Phoenix, Arizona. In this role, she is responsible for building the executive leadership pipeline (top 300 leaders) within the organization to ensure leadership capacity, capabilities, competence and continuity needed to successfully execute key business strategies in a rapidly changing environment. This includes the Talent Management process as well as recruitment, selection, assessment, development, retention and monitoring outcomes and impact on the business in alignment with Banner’s mission, vision, values, culture and strategic objectives.

She has 14 years experience in health care leadership, organizational development, physician services, strategic planning, marketing and communications.

She holds a bachelors degree in communications and minors in political science and journalism from The University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Robin Hollis:

Robin is the Senior Director for Learning and Development with Banner Health headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. Banner Health is a 7 state non-profit healthcare system. Robin is responsible for developing and delivering system-wide learning strategies and technologies including: leaders as teachers, academic partnerships, tuition assistance, online learning, knowledge management and career development. In addition, she is responsible for developing the strategy for and implementation of Banner University. Through the team’s learning relationship managers, her department partners with those in corporate and more than 40,000 employees and students in order to deliver on Banner’s mission of providing excellent patient care.

Joining Banner in 2008, Robin’s experience spans various global industries including banking, information technology and high tech distribution. She has an extensive background in operations, systems and project management, organizational development, human resources, executive development and training. She is the author of “Leader-As-Teacher: A Model for Executive Development Success” published in the Organizational Development Journal (Vol. 25, Summer 2007). She has also contributed articles in trade publications and online magazines focused on learning and organizational development initiatives. In the learning role, Robin has been recognized for ASTD’s Best Award and the Training Top 125.

Robin is currently a doctoral candidate in the Wharton/Graduate School of Education, Executive Education Chief Learning Officer Program in Work-based Learning at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA.

In addition, Robin is a George F. Baker Trust Scholar, with a bachelor’s degree in Diplomacy and World Affairs from Occidental College in Los Angeles, California, and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.
