Leaders As Teachers Institute Executive Council
When: Wednesday, September 21st, 2011 : 11:00AM - 12:00PM EDT
The Reinvention of Leadership Development in A “Networked Organization.”
The networked organization represents a significant shift in the way modern organizations translate strategy into structure relative to organization models that have existed since the 1930s.
Companies are undergoing a fundamental change in both the assumptions that determine how they compete and, subsequently, the requirements of what it takes to lead. It's more than merely adjusting leadership competency models to define and develop individual and organizational capabilities in leadership.
In our Institute Executive Council meeting, we have invited Brian Powers to share some of his research and findings in this area, specifically addressing:
- Leadership competencies for continual transformation
- Organization Development (OD) in the C-suite
- Talent management as a core business process
- Accelerating leadership development processes
- Leveraging an integrated approach to leadership development
- Implications for performance management
- Implications for talent review processes
- Tangible measures of development and feedback loops
The presentation will be followed by a discussion and a dialogue between Brian and Executive Council members to discuss ways that work with respect to designing, implementing, and measuring programs to address these needs.
