When: Tuesday, October 26th, 2010 : 11:00AM - 12:00PM EST
What You Need to Know when Enabling Social Learning in a Litigious World
- What policies and procedures should be in place when companies implement social media?
- At what point do you cross the lines into inhibiting your employees’ right to free speech?
- How would someone best monitor usage to maintain decorum and professionalism in the medium?
- What are the different legal ramifications inside and outside our company firewall?
- How do we need to educate our associates on the current and legal use of social media?
These are just a few of the questions that will be addressed in our October 26th SLEC meeting. We have two attorneys as our guest speakers for this session. Thomas Rees’ expertise is in employment law, and Erik Pelton is a trademark and copyright attorney. With their combined experience and knowledge, our guests will help us wade through the complicated and murky legal issues concerning social media in the workplace.
If you have any questions at all about social media legal issues, don’t miss this session!
