to Tackle Tough Issues
Mechanicsburg, PA, Dec 2, 2008 -- Global learning executives from respected companies such as JetBlue, CIGNA, Pfizer and Wipro will convene at an international summit to tackle the toughest issues driving innovation in learning and leadership.
Executives spanning multiple countries, including Indonesia, Canada, India, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, and the United States, will converge on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania to engage in executive-level peer networking and collaboration. The Global Leadership Congress, hosted by Corporate University Xchange, will take place February 25-27, 2009. According to Mike Barger, CLO and Senior Vice President of JetBlue Airways, "This is a must-attend session for me, a chance to network with peers from around the world; share JetBlue’s challenges and best practices, and find out what’s working for others."
Renowned faculty from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and Graduate School of Education will interact with Chief Learning Officers (CLOs) as part of the intensive Ivy League executive program. “The driving force behind this event will be our emphasis on helping executives connect real-world business practices with leading-edge academic theory to solve their current business challenges,” says Doug Lynch, Penn Vice Dean, and facilitator of the Global Leadership Congress. Faculty member and session leader, Stanton Wortham, Associate Dean at Penn, and co-author of the timely book release, Bullish on Uncertainty: How Organizational Cultures Transform Participants, will share his in-depth research and experience on the impact of culture on employees. Respected faculty members from both Penn and Wharton will be on hand for the executive learning session.
Corporate University Xchange will also host their 10th Annual Awards for Excellence and Innovation as part of the program. The black tie affair is slated to take place in the enchanting atmosphere of the Egypt and China rooms, part of the museum of Archaeology and Anthropology on the campus of Penn.
