Corporate University Xchange Hosts the 10th Annual Awards for Excellence

Mechanicsburg, PA , Mar 6//-- Corporate University Xchange hosted the 10th Annual Corporate University Xchange Awards for Excellence and Innovation in Corporate Learning. The company presented Excellence, Best Practice, and/or Exemplary Awards at the gala dinner on February 25, 2009 at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archeology and Anthropology in Philadelphia, PA.

Participation in this year’s program well exceeded previous years in new and exciting ways, including a 50% increase in the total number of applications submitted. In addition, there was a significant representation from companies worldwide, and the most diverse population of companies in both size and industry.

This year’s Best Overall award went to EMC, a network storage, data recovery and information management firm, for having been selected a finalist in more than 3 award categories. Each award category is evaluated by a separate panels of judges, and four different groups of judges selected EMC programs among their top three finalists.

The CorpU Awards for Excellence and Innovation in Corporate Learning are the longest running independent evaluation of corporate learning and talent programs. They salute corporate and government learning organizations that improve both business and employee performance. A panel of independent, expert judges from Corning, Inc., Wipro Technologies, ExxonMobil, Plastipak Packaging, IBM, and other notable organizations scored the award applicants.

Currently in its 10th year, the program has recognized companies like Farmers Insurance, Boeing, MasterCard, and Caterpillar for innovative ideas in learning that make a strategic difference.
