Diane Hinton, Plastipak Governing Board Leader, was appointed in 2005 by Plastipak’s CEO to develop and launch Plastipak Academy. Under her leadership, the Academy went from drawing board to corporate university in five months. As Governing Board Leader, Diane oversees Academy staff, programming, and strategy. During her 15-year tenure at Plastipak, Diane has spearheaded many enterprise-wide learning initiatives, including proprietary technical-skills curricula, skill-building programs for frontline leaders, and online troubleshooting tools used on the manufacturing floor. Prior to joining Plastipak, Diane held finance positions in the service and manufacturing industries. She received her BSBA from the University of Akron. Diane actively volunteers to help increase awareness and find a cure for Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EE).

Mary Singos works for Plastipak Packaging as a learning advisor and developer. Mary’s key roles in launching Plastipak Academy were to develop the Academy blueprint and to collaborate with senior executives to align the Academy’s strategy and portfolio with the needs of the business. Previously, she held L&D positions at the Palace of Auburn Hills and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. Mary also serves in an advisory role for improving student achievement at one of the largest school districts in the United States. She holds a BS in Human Resources Development with a concentration in Training and Development from Oakland University in Auburn Hills, Michigan. |

Jeanette Brooks
is a founding member of Plastipak Academy’s governing board and design team. She was the key driver in creating and establishing strategies and systems to ensure both an effective launch and a sustainable model for ongoing Academy operations. She continues to hone and develop the Academy’s infrastructure while managing program implementation. Prior to her Academy assignment, she spent 11 years developing targeted technical and basic-skills programs for various segments of the Plastipak learning market. Her background also includes performance-support work in the automotive and software industries. Jeanette graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a BBA and a Master of Liberal Studies, specializing in instructional design.
