| Abstract: | A well-crafted onboarding experience is essential to convince new employees that they’ve made the right decision, and start them off engaged and with a positive outlook. While the details of the experience may differ, the essential elements of senior leader involvement, peer and mentor programs, and emphasis on the company’s vision, values and business strategy rather than tactical details should be the same everywhere. This paper describes those practices along with others that learning professionals can weave into their own successful onboarding programs. |
