Harvard offers various open enrollment programs in various disciplines including Leadership, Business Strategy, Corporate Governance, Healthcare & Science, Financial Management, Marketing Technology and Operations, and Personal Development, among others. In 2010, Harvard introduced eleven new programs including five programs in China and two programs in India.

Harvard custom programs are taught by faculty in Harvard Business School, Arts and Sciences, Medicine, Law, Government, and other Harvard University Schools. Harvard provides access to the Baker Library and Harvard Business School Publishing to its custom program participants.

The primary goal of every HBS custom executive education program is to develop leaders who can make a difference within the organization. While each company faces its own unique set of issues, all typically partner with HBS to help achieve one or more of three commonly shared objectives:
