Established in 1953, Manipal University has 20 constituent institutions comprising medical, dental, engineering, architecture, nursing, allied health, pharmacy, management, communication, information science, hotel management, biotechnology, and regenerative medicine among others.  The university offers Bachelors’, Masters’ and Doctoral degrees in various specialties. Manipal University (MU) has been offering off campus part-time post graduation courses in the area of Management, Information Science/Technology and Healthcare for working professionals since 2002. Manipal University has branch campuses in Bangalore, Malaysia, Dubai and Antigua in the Caribbean Island.  There is also a campus in Mangalore with a medical college, a dental college and a nursing college with attached teaching hospitals. MU has an international academic collaboration for twinning programs in engineering with universities in the US, UK, Australia and other countries.

Apart from regular on campus classroom programs, MU also offers Part Time corporate programs for working professional in the areas of IT, Management and Healthcare. The University collaborates with companies from IT, IT-ES Services, Semiconductor, Telecom, Banking and Insurance Industry for providing continuous education to their employees. These programs are also customized to suit the immediate needs of the industry/collaborating organization.
