Mike Barger will participate as one of many global learning advisors, serving as a small group leader and facilitator. Barger founded jetBlue University, the corporate learning organization, and is currently the Vice President and Chief Learning Officer of jetBlue University. He was part of the jetBlue Airways start-up team in early 1999.

 

Doug Lynch will share his extensive experience as he assists in facilitating the overall event. Lynch is the Vice Dean of the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania. Trained as an economist, he also did doctoral work in education evaluation, Political Theory and also has an MBA. He is particularly known for innovative partnerships between higher education and corporate learning programs and has had over 120,000 “corporate students.”


Stanton Wortham
will discuss the impact of culture on employees as part of his experience as co-author of the recent, and timely, book release, Bullish on Uncertainty: How Organizational Cultures Transform Participants. Professor Whartham is the Judy & Howard Berkowitz Professor of Education at the University of Pennsylvania as well as the Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Education. Professor Wortham has pursued interdisciplinary studies that stretch across anthropology, education, linguistics, philosophy, and psychology.

Networking

A full slate of opportunities for networking, idea exchange and collaboration with global learning professionals will be incorporated into the event agenda.  The Global Leadership Congress will provide multiple venues for executives and faculty to meet and further develop professional relationships meant to extend beyond these learning sessions.

In addition to the event, Corporate University Xchange will host the 10th Annual Awards for Excellence and Innovation in the enchanting atmosphere of the Museum of Archeology and Anthropology at the University of Pennsylvania. The China and Egypt rooms will play host to the networking and dinner as part of this elegant affair.
